I'm Mahlon Allgyer
I grew up Amish and started my career at fifteen. I was insecure and just wanted a job, and I honestly felt very intimidated by the construction industry.
I soon learned to enjoy the hard work, especially working with my hands and watching projects take shape. I still clearly remember the first time my boss sent a set of blueprints home with me so I could prepare for wall layout the next day. All the numbers and details felt so overwhelming but after studying and applying it onsite it soon became easier. That experience then led me to become a journeyman and I was able to frame some great custom houses with my team.
After seven years of working for someone, I started my own construction business. Over the years, I have trained numerous guys wanting to get into the trades how to build houses, which is when my passion for teaching began.
